Union Public Service Commission : Engineering Services Examination : New Delhi : Last Date: 09.02.2009

Eligibility: BE/ B.Tech (ECE)/ M.Sc (Phy/ Radio)

Qualification : A candidate must hold a Degree in Engineering or equivalent. Provided that a candidate applying for the posts of Indian Naval Armament Service (Electronics Engineering Posts) and Engineer Group 'A' in Wireless Planning & Coordination Wing/ Monitoring Organization may Possess M.Sc Degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject.

The Union Public Service Commission will hold the Engineering Services Examination, 2009 commencing for 6th June 2009. The Examination will be held at various centres across the country

Age Limit : Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years on 1st August 2009

Physical Standards : Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to Engineering Services Examination, 2009 as per Regulations given in Appendix -II of Rules for examination published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary dated 10th January 2009

Fee : Rs. 100/- through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. SC/ ST/ PH candidates are exempted from payment fee. (OBC candidates are required to pay full fee)

Application Form : The Candidates must apply in the Common Application Form Devised by the Commission for its examinations, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/ Post Offices (Specified in Appendix -III of the Notice published in the Employment News/ Rozgar Samachar) throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/- (Rupees Twenty) only. Each such form can be used once and only for one examination.

In case of any difficulty in obtaining the Application Form form designated Head Post Offices/ Post Officer, the candidates should immediately contact concerned Postmaster or UPSC's "Form Supply Monitoring Cell" Over Telephone No.011-23389366/ Fax No. 011-23387310

How To Apply:
All applications must reach "Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi - 110069 either by hand or by Post/ Speed Post or by courier, on or before the 9th February 2009. However, in respect of candidates residing abroad in certain remote area specified in the Notice, the last date for receipt of applications by Post/ Speed Post only (Not by Hand or by Courier) is 16th February 2009.
