where to download visual studio .NET????

HI GUYS N GULS

recently i joined a course in a institute for java and .net what is the software i need to download for practising .net in my home??


i tried downloading MICROSOFT VISUAL STUDIO .NET from microsoft.com but while installing it showed me "your system is running on xp service pack 1 and doesnot meet the minimum requirements"

what should i do??????? can i get them for Xp sp1 ????????

thx for the link but i have already downloaded that and its just a upgrade patch not the entire visual studio .net application

meanwhile i am searching for a fix which can upgrade my xp sp1 to sp2, if u find it pls post it so that i can download it
