Basic info for Sap

Hello,
Can anyone please suggest me
1) what is difference between NetWeaver and Basis? what I know, is Basis is System Administration part of SAP. Am I right? but NetWeaver is not clear........is it part of admin?

2) for SAP Basis certification is it necessary to take authorised training from SAP Training Partner? Can one learn basis privately and take certification exam independely?

Your suggestion please.

One thing more to be part of SAP world from where I should start?

yah wat u kne is correct....basis is sys admin......netweaver is completely programming(not sure but u should've skills of java for netweaver)

there is no need to take training frm particular institute for certification.....u can learn the course anywhere n u can write certification exam......

where one can write exam? I mean name of exam vendor? like VUE etc. what are fee for Basis exam? and can you please describe details of basis exam?
