How to Learn basics of SAP

Hi folks,

I am a beginner to SAP and I would like to learn ABAP.

I have 3 yrs of expr in programming.

Is it possible to learn ABAP by self study without any basic knowledge of it, i mean by taking any good book can i start learning ABAP without going for any course?

If so, can any of the friends, advice me on how to start and from where to start?

hi baba,
it may be difficult...but if u've good material and good programming knw in C then upto a mark u can learn ABAP.....but its better to go institute and learn.........
