SAP FICO material

Hi,

I did my MCA and worked in Testing. Now i am planning to learn SAP FICO and if possible do certification. But i have nil knowledge on accounting, G/L...I am ready to do it from scratch and put all my efforts and hardwork. All i need is the boooks/material to follow.

As i have no idea on A/Cs, G/L, shall i start with accounting and then go for SAP FI (if so suggest some accounting books/links/material) or can i directly start with SAP FICO. I have TAFI40_1 PDF..is this sufficient to start with.

Plz guide me. Any kind of information is really appreciated. Looking forward for ur responses.

Hi Satya,
Join an institute in accounting packages,learn few packages like tally,focus,etc..develop yourself in accounting concepts and be strong in it.Then go for FICO ,it will be easier.SAP-FICO is in huge demand.

Thanks for the reply. I am in U.S and u know... the institutes here...they charge more and teach less. R u from accounts background and working in FICO???

Can u plzz tell me what concepts should i be perfect before going into FICO and any books/ materials or links related to that. I would be very thankful to u

You are not from commerce background,you have to learn from scratch,there are many books,what is your career plan,you must have something in mind before going to US and doing MCA,focus on one thing or technology,be in a field where you think you can surely go ahead,dont decide by others perceptions.

If you totally have no knowledge in Accounting..... I believe there is a book called Accounting for none accountants....that would more or less give you the basics of accounting.....before going to FICO
