I am Salim from Pune (MAH).......
I've Joined this forum today, but surfing this forum from last week.
you guys & gals are really doing nice job by giving u r Helping hands to each others.......and thatswhat I need from all of Urs.......

I am Dsktop Engineer, Working with IBM Global Services in Pune from last 3 yrs. and I come to know ab't SAP there only,

So I want some Basic Info ab't SAP Basis because, I am from the Administration background, and want to join Basis.......

so can anyone Suggest me, that

1. Is it a right time to place my self in SAP Basis?,
or alraedy I am late for it?
2. Can i go v'th the Tech. Knowledge which I have for SAP baisis, o' Do I need to Upgrade myself with other Stuff, if so then what that stuff is?
like My paltform is Windows, so do i need to know Unix as well and what else?
3. where i can find best but low fees Institutes for the same knowledge,

{In pune atleast 60K need tobe Invest and i can't offer this much
otherwise I've to go to Hyderabad}

I've lot more queries.......but will disscuss it later on !

I REQUEST ALL OF TO GIVE ME U R SUGGESTIONS.......
CAUSE IT MAKES A DIFFERENCS FOR ME.......

Hi salim,
in Hyderabad all inistitues are charging nearly 10k,
and for administration in SAP , there is no need to learn unix and all those things.

you are upgrading your technology, so, obviously there is no problem, and coming to the point of SAP it self is a good.

but tell me one thing, In Sap basis as a backend Oracle is
working, so doesn't mean that Oracle is mandetory to learn here.
and another stuff like taht.......?

i think no need to learn oracle salim....as ur hvng tech skills so u can learn basis....u can find best institutes in hyd and fee also low like upto10k only....

hi salim,
to learn SAP BASIS u should knw abt networking,c,c++......if u have networking skills then its will be advantage to learn BASIS course.
yah some institutes provide coaching if u dont knw abt networking also.......
if u knw networking then u can go for BASIS course....its hvng nice demand and ofcourse SAP is hvng nice boom in the future years also....pay will start from 25k to max....it depends on ur experience....

Hi Spoorthy,
as u r saying that SAP having nice demand and nice boom in the future,
but after completing the Basis Course, I'll known as a fresher, so do I have
Good oppertunities in terms of JOB as a Basis Fresher, O' do i need to struggle to find a good placement, by registering myself into Placement Consultancies.
What do u think?

hi salim,
for freshers there r very very very...few oppr......and also u cant be consider as a fresher....
so u can keep 1yr exp of ur desktop engg exp and remaining 2yrs of exp on SAP BASIS.....bcoz to get in SAP min u should've 2yrs of exp....and also dont believe completly in placement assistance specially in sap bcoz they wont provide just they say like tht.....

ok spoorthi, suggest me another thing that In hyderabad which Institute do u think are best to do Basis, as i m not aware of it?
do u have any Idea ab't Pune Institutes?
ofcourse they should minimum chargeable but well enough to do the Basis cource.......

i dont knw abt pune institutes...
in hyd i think option i, vcentric,......and there r so many institutes in aamerpet....attend for demos so tht u can find difference n can join in the best institute.i let u knw more nice institutes soon....
