Well is it true that if we first learn ABAP than other modules can be easily done based on your area of interest.

Well the answer is it depends on ur background.ABAP is all about programming like any other language.If you have learnt ABAP you should have basic idea about all the functional modules like what all procedure goes in Sales,production,material management,HR ,Etc. So obviously that makes you feel easy to learn other modules. But to learn functional modules you need to have experience in any one of them the more exp u have the better it would be.

What keerthi has said is true. While learning ABAP you will cover all major modules (at least basics). So, pleople might have said that in this way to you. But, it need not be true always. Thanks, Krishna
