I have a website that is only very small ( 4 pages ) and there isn't that much text on each page so I suppose SEO wouldn't be very effective with this website.
What other alternatives do I have? What is the most effective thing you have ever done to your website?

PPC is the surest thing for instant traffic, but it's all about the value you can extract from a PPC campaign.

Effective social media marketing will bring you a lot of visitors if done right, but the visitors are short-lived and they're generally conditioned to bounce after one page. The effect is only lasting when implemented consistently, and...

...when your content is good enough to convince visitors to come back on their own. This is the surest (and more valuable) strategy for attracting long-term traffic...but they still need to find you.

You could also set up a Twitter account and target your tweets toward people who might be interested in your product, but without a regular flow of new content to share, your visits may be short-lived.

What are you offering where SEO wouldn't be effective? Why not add some more text if you believe that's the only thing limiting you?
