Rep Power: 4 | Hi All, I would like to contribute something here. Once you get to know which company is coming to recruit you. Get to know the maximum details of the company and job-profile that you would be posted to. Next, go to its website get maximum details, vision, mission statements, ceo his brief history, company's recent past, its clients, etc. Once done this jot down a writting for your better understanding of the companydo revise. Spend some time sitting alone and analyze your strengths and weaknesses and do a swot analysis. Know yourself, get a paper and jot down all your minor and major achievements. May be its just learning cycle at the age of 10. Getting first prize in elocution in 3rd standard... yes all these count alot in projecting yourself to you. Get a list of all this and recent accomplishments paper presentations, debates, research... if done with this write down where you failed in the past, try to get some basic reasons why you failed to achieve a better rank in competitive exam or your recent interview. Do all this alone and get to know yourself better. Sit with your friends, discuss yourself apart from the work done above. Do ask for their feedback on you and your behavior. Get more positive points which you may not be knowing as your strenght - your smile, your confident walk, your posture, your work, your hand writing... wait a minute also know your weakness - may be you need to more friendly, your dressing sense... done with this Relax. Once you have done some ground work on this. Sit down and prepare a resume of your own. Please dont copy the contents or modify your friend resume. You can take the format. Present yourself in your resume not your friend. Be optimistic but dont over project yourself. Take time to befriend with your resume, before finalizing on it have a through check and do include all the necessary fields, mobile, email, name, addressetc... Now, its time for preparation. Know the pattern. Get an appropriate book for aptitude work on it. Also get papers from net, download, print and work. Do your best. Next, watch news channels, forget movies and weekends for a while, prepare well. Go through newspapers, and if possible contact any person from the company to know the culture and career growth in five years. This will help you clear some initial rounds. Every round is a different one checking for different qualities in you. Interview preparation is more practical than theoritical. Sit down with your friends, ask them to interview you in true sense. Ask one of your lecturer or counseller to do it. Get feedback, dont get frustated even if you are unable to do well. Infact, you are going to do better, you have avoided the same situation in the interview. Be practical. Have an open mind to face the reality. Dont bother even if something goes wrong. Work hard and then work smart. You will find a difference in the way you see the world. Even if you are unable to make it up. Don't lose heart, dont give up. Your real failure would be to give up. Failures are the stepping stones of success. Dont panic even if your failed in 10 interviews, worry if you are not performing better. It is not the end of it. Be brave and world is yours. For example, all famous actors, players, do their ground work well and then they perform before us. If required pick any biography of a great person you adore. Get inspired. Do well. Wishing you all success.
