I want to make a career in Information Security+Ethical Hacking

0) Does ethical hacking part of Information Security?

1) I want to know academic requirement for it ?

2) What are the certification we have to appear & pass?

3) Which are the best institute in Hyderabad and India for its training program?

I came to know about to institute one is e2 labs and one is a collobration of ankit fadia with reliance for ethical hacking....Which of these is good. I heard from some people that e2 labs is just money taker and doesn't know anything about Information Security and have no industry recognition. How true it is?

Ankit Fadia is no more the fonder of e2 -;abs. e2 -labs charges 2.5 lakhs for their CSS (certified Security Specialist ).. But it dont has international recongnation. It is just a waste of money.

What i can suggest you is..

1: GOOGLE.COM is the biggest teacher for u

2: get good stuff on TCP / IP & net working - Go for CCNA

3: Learn about firewalls & Linux OS

4: Join for CEH ( It has demand now )

In my opinion no one can teach you ethical hacking. ( finding vulnerebilities & writing eploit code).

CEH is all about working on tools Like Nmap, Xprobe, Nessus , Retina & others. They will teach you how to exploit a vulnerenility based on already writtend code ( you can get those codes from securityfocus.org & packetstorm security.org etc sites )

No need of any qualification to go with CEH. It depends on your interest & the amount of work you are going to spend.

Going for CCNA & CCNP will give you more knowledge on TCP /TP & routing technics. 1 year exp is more than enough to get a salary range between 30k to 50k.

I was the student of e2-labs. It was good when it was started around 2003.. But it don’t has much reputation now.

My Fvt Tools :

Nmap. Xprobe, Lan guard, Super scanner , Nessus , Retina, Canvas ( you can get it through torrents) , Metasploit & some other..

Use all the above Key words (search in google.com ) to get more stuff on Hacking………..

Like Most of you said 1 or 11/2 yr industry experience needed for CEH. Is this experience in any IT field or Specifically in the field of Networking or Security.

In request to my friend who also want to make a career in Information Security.

He is working as a Oracle DBA and is OCP certified from past 6 months. Will that experience be enough or he has to specifically grab a job in Networking or Info Security.

My humble request to all of u. Plz dont join any institute for hacking bcoz they just go on reading the slides and dont have indepth knowledge of howto use the tools. As "RISING SUN" told, google is best way to learn.
Download the tools and play with it. Go to the nmap website (insecure.com) and download the tools
