Also check your "System Task Manager" to know which application is consuming most of your CPU cycles.

I suggest you to remove the AVG...This is making the PC slow. You can use the Kaspersky ..update it online..Check for all the startup programs in Msconfig

Hi,
its real fact AVG will consume more memory but sometimes it will detect muc virus thann others..its not a prob u can uninstall.. If u want to go for any Branded Antivirus i suggest u to Mcafee... But i recomment the best antivirus up to my result is Avast Antivirus it had large virus signature Db so it also have automatic updating support..so u can use it..It available for free download.. http://www.avast.com/ Any comments Buzz me up..Tc Regards, Rsk*.*

HI, I am also having AVG.It is good.So you dont remove. But check the number of applications you have in startup.Got to RUN.Type msconfig.click the startup tab. Then disable the uncheck the unwanted applications.
