whenever i am inserting cd in my cdrom its giving msg as insert disk into drive(pc is not reading cd)whts the problem???how to solve tht

Swapna,

Is it happening with every CD or for any specific CD?Try to uninstall your CD drive restart your system. That driver should be loaded again automatically. This will help you to resolve the issue if it is because of driver malfunctioning.

In this case, try to remove the bus attached to CD drive and put it back in place and then start system. Even if this doesn't work, then try to reinstall drivers. Even if this doesn't work, then it could be the issue with driver lens. In that case, I will suggest you to buy a new drive rather trying to repair it.

Your CD is scratched. I had the same problem, nothing recovered from it.

If the issue is with every CD and driver re installation or reverifying the connectivity is not helping, then it could be the issue with cd lens. You can buy a CD lens cleaner to clean lens. But even this will not help if lens is spoil.

May be we face this types are problems from

1. CD is correpted or writing problem
2. may be drive problem also. your cd lense is not reading your cd
you will check the CD in another drive. If the CD is working, problem your CD Drive
