system doesn’t boot up!

hi all,

when i press the system button to turn on the computer, the cpu light glows for a few seconds and it goes off. my system doesn't boot up. what could be the technical problem?..

How many beep sounds ur getting ? please let me know..

We need to check the hardware first. If it is giving more than 1 beep
sound at startup prob might be with RAM or other hardware device.

Try starting the PC after removing network card.

If you are getting only one beep sound & if its not booting up may be Operating System got screwd.

Which OS you are Using ?

1) Are you getting any beep sounds ?
2) Are you getting any message on the screen ?
3) Is the Hard disk light blinking ( Red light ) when you turn ON ?

hi,
thank u very much for ur response.
1. i don't get any beep sound
2. my monitor screen doesn't come up ( i checked the monitor power pin, and power cable. vga port also is good. everything is connected properly)
3.i opened the system and checked thoroughy if any component is not seated properly. everything is fine. no problem.
4.when press the push button of the cpu to turn on the system, the cpu red light glows for a moment and then goes off. ( when i checked the smps and cpu fan , those fans run for a while when light glows for a while . when the red light goes off the fans also stop functioning).

yes binny ur rite THE SYSTEM WONT BOOT IF ANY PROBLEM IN MOTHER BOARD
such things happen only then ..JUST SHOW UR MOTHERBOARD TO HARDWARE
PERSON and analyse the problem

Hi,

Open your System cabin and reset the CMOS battery ie., remove the cmos baterry and fix it again.then switch on the power.

hey,,,the prblm is with ur fan attached to processor man!dust might slown ur fan speed...and proceesor gttng heated.. tht the reason ur system working for few min and gttng turnoffd...
