hi guys
i am a fresher, and will be passing computer engg this year in july... i was thinking for a career in SAP ABAP module. can any 1 tell me chances of excelling in career or should I wait and work in the industry for 2 or more years and then go for these modules. well i hv done freelance projects for many companies in mumbai which include companies L&T Ltd. and RBN Chemicals in VB, .NET and JAVA.

bcoz u r a fresher i cant suggest u to do SAP ABAP directly for job.........for freshers there r very very less oppr in ABAP.so its better to work in any company for 1 ro 2yrs and meanwhile still if u r intrsted then u can learn ABAP....n try for job........

hi ,but dont you think that every one who studies a new thing is a fresher in the particular subject. then by ur way, only pple who's company have taught SAP to them will be enhancing their capablity for SAP rite??. and for others its it will be difficult rite bcoz initially every 1 is a fresher and as they learn they become experienced rite . please tell me as i dont know this stuff.

but spoorthi wont my freelance work be concidered as practical experience in the industry. I know that on paper i cannot write that as my experience, can I

yah i agree with u everyone is a fresher who studies a new thing....tht v knw...but in particular fields like SAP companies want only exp ppl.....as there r many exp candidates in SAP so they prefer particularly in SAP only exp ppl.....in some companies ppl who r on java,dot net platform if they want they can migrate to sap as company only provides training...........i'm not saying like there r no oppr for freshers in SAP.........there r oppr tht 2 only for ABAP but oppr r very very i can say very very less........so its upto u to take the course or not.....u can do the course frm some named institutes like siemens n if u write certification then u can have some chances more...........

abt ur freelance work experience deff it will add some advantage my frd.....it is benifit to u....but for SAP they consider only industrial exp i mean real time exp.......so if u want to join in siemens n do certification then u can do ABAP...in tht case also no gurantee for job but certification will be added advantage n some wat more preferable than fresher thts it..........

hi , well wat if i do a course from a nominal center ... not a certified center and then go for certifications from siemens... will simens will permit me that ..... more over does it make any difference.. as any ways even siemens is a training center .. and both will teach me the same only rite .

y i told abt siemens bcoz.....for freshers who wants career on SAP some companies mentioning abt freshers who r trained frm siemens.......for tht reason i told abt siemens.............n comming abt teaching no it wont be same.....deff there is difference in teaching.....u can learn frm very basics frm siemens some wat real time focus will be there where as in normal institutes they teach only abt the subject......but now a days siemens also not upto the mark its very cost .......yah u can do course frm institutes n u can go for certification............certification is imp thts it....
