Re: What are the bottlenecks involved in performance testing?

Performance testing requires lot of manpower.
There may be lot of scenarios to be covered while doing performance testing and it may be difficult to find correctly where performance is low.

Re: What are the bottlenecks involved in performance testing?

Sorry I dont agree.
Mostly we perform performance testing using automation only, as we need to calculate the throughPuts and other factors with concurrent users or simultaneous hits, which is not possible with manual test.
Some of the problems that I faced were
1. maximum limit of number of users recommended by Software authorities does not match the requirements e.g. Jmeter can take the load of maximum 250 users and after that it hangs the system.
2. AJAX are difficult to sync.
3. Pop ups are difficult to recognize in some scripting softwares.
4. Patterns produced are not constant due to environment factors.
5. Depandency on various other factors.
