Re: I need suggestion friends.....
Hi frd,
on what technology you've 1yr of exp? where are you trying for testing job? if you want first break up then dont look for only good companies......apply for all type of companies.....even if it is a small company do apply for it.....attend for interviews......some medium and small companies wont look for percentage so no need to worry about your percentage.....first just start applying for jobs by keeping 1yr non it exp and testing skills...................there are so many small companies in banglore so better try over there you'll get good job soon..............all the best |

Re: I need suggestion friends.....
Sangram,
What Spoorthi said is true. To get a first career break, apply to all sizes of companies. In small to medium size companies, there is huge opportunity to get a break in career. Once you get at least 2+ year exp in the field, your percentages are not valued much if you have good testing skills. You are saying you have 1yr experience in non-IT, not sure what kind of job you were doing. But if are doing any kind of verification or validation, highlight that point in your profile. Verification and validation is nothing but part of testing and it will get some weight. All the best!!! Thanks, Krishna

Re: I need suggestion friends.....
Since u hav mentioned u are a fresher, dont stick to your guns, i mean dont emphasize that u want a job in testing, u must b open to all options ( u r MCA PG, right. Companies dont expect frshers to b finished products, they are turned into one, once they get into a company ). First get into a company (small or big, hopefully u have 60%+ in MCA) and then try to do ur specialization. As far as jobs are concerned there are a lot of opportunities in Hyderabad. Dont worry there are a lot of comnpanies that only look into ur PG marks and not what u obtained b4 that.
There is also another way, try doing some legitimate industry standard Certification ( example Oracle has OCP, OCM..etc.. Sun Micosystems provides SCJP, SCWP.etc.etc ).... i hav very limited idea of Testing and their corresponding certifications, I am sure sk_kireeti will shed some light on this front. Remember Certifications do not guarantee a job, but it does boost ur Resume which in turn increases ur job prospects. Cheers, --Live_Wire
