For those of you who want to crack cleanly installed 9.5 with l-mqt82.exe:
You need to create :\Program Files\Common Files\Mercury Interactive\License Manager
folder on your system drive. Then run the l-mqt82.exe and open generated "lservrc" file in text editor. Copy everything before "QuickTestPro" version "6.0" and manually enter it when QTP asks for the new license key.

Hi, Thanks for the crack. But somehow it is not generating lservrc file for me when I tried in two systems with QTP 9.5 and 10.

There is no License Manager folder under C:\Program Files\Common Files\Mercury Interactive in the newer versions.

So I tried to execute the file in C:\Program Files\HP\QuickTest Professional\bin

It showed progress as Successfully Executed but gave error window:
AppName: l-mqt82.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: ntdll.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.5512 Offset: 0000100b

l-mqt82.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Am I missing any step here?

Please let me know.

Also , if someone can suggest of a good place for training and certification for QTP it will be greatly appreciated.

Hi aroul kindly follow the following steps:

1.create a folder named License manager under (Drive):\Program Files\Common Files\Mercury Interactive\
2.Paste the l-mqt82
3.Double click l-mqt82 file
You see some scripts would be generated and one more file is created in that(License) folder
4.open that new file with notepad
5.copy Copy everything before "QuickTestPro" version "6.0"
6.now open your QTP 9.5 click on install license paste that code over thereclick next,next then click ok.

It'll surely work,i've just done,

I am not able to download QTP 9.5 trail version because of QTP 9.5 trail version not available in HP Download Center. only QTP 10.0 trail version available. that also i have tried. but i am not able to installed.

Sorry for the delay in reply. I came to India(Pondicherry) for a week.

Many Thanks to Bibek09 and Prithi. Yes it was my mistake I did not create a folder License Manager ubde Mercury Interactive. Then it worked fine.

Now after installing the Seat license I havea new problem: I am using Powerbuilder AddIn, but with this License Powerbuilder Addin cannot be selected. It is greyed out. Is this beacuse the licnse file was from QTP 6 when there was no Powerbuilder support?

Thanks a lot again atleast now I am able to get it working for the other older addins.

I check it out HP download center. It's having only QTP 10.0 trial version. But i need QTP 9.5 trail version. i asked many friend no one have... can you please get me that QTP 9.5 trail version.

Hi Priti,
I download QTP 9.2, previously QTP 10.0 trial version was installed on my PC which got expired, so I uninstalled QTP 10.0 and then installed QTP 9.2 succesfully , then when tried to open QTP it was giving License error,
I also created C:\Program Files\Common Files\Mercury Interactive\License Manager folder. Then I ran the l-mqt82.exe a pop appeared that a License file has been generated successfully, but no "lservrc" file was generated
do u knowe any way out so dat I can use QTP 9.2 ?

Plzzz reply soon as m planning to appear for QTP certification. Also if u have any QTP / QC certification material could u plzzz share it my mail ID is - vidhu_12@rediffmail.com

I am not sure about the problem, I would suggest you to install/apply the license again.
