Re: How to find duplicate issues from the issue list?

Yes Krishna

What you said is absolutely correctly.

I think in formal meetings, from developer point of view, this is a common and very regular issue towards a tester. That's why to get ride of QA team bad impression from developers, the testing team should plan themselves and should approach the testing in planned manner, to avoid these sort of issues while testing any version of a same product.

I think in most of the MNC's this is the work of TL's or PL's, who look over all the Issues logged by their testing team and remove the duplicated issues from list. But for small organization like ours, as a responsible sr.tester, Iam taking care of this process( but not upto 100% mark.)

Please come up with more suggestions
thx
Shireendra

Thx..Krishna for giving such a lengthy conversation on this topic

But in real time scenario,i faced more confusion on this
B'ze U always cannot approach the developers and ask them as "Did this defect was raised by anyone?
We should not abide for his response, some times he may give wrong information
so..what i want 2 say is i never believe developers,

Chait..
