Sr. Technical Associate/ Sr. Tester:
Eligibility:
- Candidates with a minimum experience of about 24 months in manual testing and having sound experience on database related activities.
Functional Title - Technical Associate Sr. Technical Associate (as applicable)
Business Unit / Function - CitiFT/SIT
Location of Job / Building - Nirlon / Mumbai
Position Description - Part of the CitiFT/SIT Team at CGSL, Nirlon, Mumbai
Position Job reports to - Assistant Manager (CitiFT/SIT)

MAJOR CHALLENGES:
1. Complex processes and involves various systems & databases.
2. Considering that the work involves integrating multiple systems and subsequent testing of the same, good balance between functional and technical activities would need to be maintained.
3. Since integration project architectures are message based, ability to understand and interpret messages, associated business logic and their interaction with other systems is most critical; activities may cover many different technologies,
and would need the ability to identify and differentiate between hardware, software and network related problems or causes.
4. Due to rapid advancements in the field of technology and testing, changes to systems and associated tools too would undergo regular changes and hence it is imperative that pace has been maintained accordingly to incorporate these changes into regular activities wherever necessary (includes changes that need to be made to all the systems and environments, as and wherever applicable).

Candidate Profile:
Ability to follow-up with all stakeholders, business team and vendors to drive results.
Ability to understand requirement and solution documents, identify potential gaps.
Ability to identify defects in the software and determine the severity and potential impact of defects raised.
Basic UNIX skills - using ftp, vi-editor, commands to navigate in UNIX (file handling skills).
Ability to understand application traces and logs.
Ability to write Oracle SQL queries for database-level checks.
Good analytical ability and communication skills, and
Ability to work under pressure and willingness to handle long hours during critical situations.
